Xavier Dandavino
Introducing Fire Fighter Xavier Dandavino. Callsign 306. Xavier has been with the department since December 2021 and has immersed himself into training.
Xavier is an Exterior Fire Fighter and is also trained in Wildfire Suppression. Xavier has an awesome talent. Xavier is Bilingual in both French and English. Part of our jurisdiction covers Hwy 4 meaning there can be accidents or other calls with tourists that may only speak French. Xavier is able to translate for them! Xavier is also on the Ways and Means committee (organize fun events for the department and families).
Xavier is a teacher at the Francophone school École des Grands-cèdres. When not firefighting, one can catch Xavier sailing, playing boardgames or planning Halloween. He does a wicked costume of Professor X from the X-Men
Xavier says “I love being part of a team dedicated to help their community. I love meeting and working with people that would otherwise not be part of my life. I love gaining new skills and learning to work in challenging problem solving situations.”
