MEET OUR MEMBER

Introducing Fire Fighter Serena Pistotnik. Callsign 311. Serena rarely misses a practice and always brings high energy and a smile with her. Serena has been with CCFD since June 2019. She was promoted to Lieutenant in December 2024.

Serena is an Interior FF and is grinding to finish her NFPA 1001 Full Service certification. Serena is also trained in Wildfire Suppression, Sprinkler Protection and is a member of our First Responder Team (medical). She is part of our Public Relations committee as well.

In her day to day, Serena is a Cashier at Quality Foods. In her free time, she is an amazing baker. She regularly brings in sweet treats to the department and does not disappoint with her skills. She recently just finished her 6th TC10km race. She also enjoys hiking, “but I’m usually found at Twin City Brewing with a pizza slice in hand.”

Serena says “My favourite things about firefighting is how it pushes me out of my comfort zone, there’s always something new to learn, and it’s very rewarding to give back to the community.”
