Interior OFC (Structure Firefighter Minimum Training Standards - 2024)

The Interior OFC Certification is geared toward those who are interested in structural firefighting within buildings. Firefighters who complete this program are trained to enter burning structures safely and work under challenging conditions to rescue victims and control fires from within. Each module is more in depth and challenging compared to Exterior OFC Certification. 

This program covers advanced techniques:

  • Module 1: PPE/SCBA (Self-Contained BBreathing Apparatus)
  • Module 2: General Knowledge, Safety, Communications, Scene Lighting, Utlities and Emergency Traffic Control
  • Module 3: Ropes and Knots
  • Module 4: Ground Ladders
  • Module 5: Tactical Ventilation - Vertical & Horizontal
  • Module 6: Hose Lines, Nozzles and Appliances
  • Module 7: Water Supply
  • Module 8: Building Construction & Fire Behaviour
  • Module 9: Hazmat Awareness
  • Module 10: Forcible Entry
  • Module 11: Interior - Advanced Fire Attack - Includes Live Fire 2
  • Module 12: Interior Team Lead & RIT & Search & Rescue & Firefighter Survival 

Completion of this program rewards: 

  • Ability to conduct Interior Operations
